So.. there is this boy I know. He is about 5'9, blonde, muscular, incredibly handsome and one unbelievably good missionary. He is currently living in San Blas, Mexico. His name is Elder Tyler James Allen... And I have a confession, [I am madly in love with him!]
Can you blame me?
I am so proud of his decision to serve a mission, even though is the hardest thing either of us have had to do, it will be so worth it! Ty is my best friend. I can go to him with anything and everything, he knows just how to make me smile. I don't know how I became so lucky as to call him mine. But let me tell you I am SO lucky to call him mine.
Yesterday was Ty's 6 month mark and it was long awaited for! I am so excited to finally reach a point where I can feel like the sadness and loneliness was worth it and I can tell you it is so worth it. It is not easy to have your best friend gone, nor is it the most enjoyable thing you will ever experience but, you learn so much about yourself, each other and most importantly your relationship. I can honestly say that the second I left Ty's house,(from our last time together before he left) I knew Ty was who I wanted to be with forever. I have gained so much more appreciation for him and our relationship in the time he has been gone. And I can honestly tell you that I fall more and more in love with him each day we are apart. Another thing I have learned from this experience this far, is that there will always be people providing commentary on your life. Whether it is supportive or unsupportive it happens. What I have come to realize and appreciate more and more is the fact that this is Ty and Heath's Love Story not anyone else's.
